Preparation for Administration of a Formalized Cognitive Assessment

Preparation for Administration of a Formalized Cognitive Assessment

Consider who is the best one for the job? Probably not a good idea to administer on your spouse. Maybe recruit a grandchild?

Recognize the limitations of the test. This captures performance at one point in time and may not be indicative of what you are seeing functionally in the home.

Through the Care Manage with Confidence class, we will walk through ways to evaluate function in the natural environment and use the information gained to establish a plan of care.

What you will need: a quiet environment, a pen or pencil, the printed test and instructions with administration verbage highlighted, a stop watch (I use the clock function on my phone), optional--a clip board.
